        • Joseph Hughes has joined Anderson Bank as a loan officer. Mr. Hughes most recently was executive vice president with Centennial Bank. He has more than 15 years of commercial and residential lending experience.

        • Named associate principals at BHDP Architecture: Matthew J. Ploucha, Pamela D. McDonel and Gregory J. Kissel.

        • Brendan P. Murray has been named partner at The Brower Insurance Agency. Mr. Murray will oversee the employee benefits division in the Cincinnati office.

        • Robert J. Meyer, an engineering specialist with more than 28 years of experience in industrial research and development and product design, has been appointed product engineering manager at Leyman Lift Gates. Mr. Meyer, who will oversee development of Leyman's line of equipment and after-market applications, joins the company following extended engineering assignments with ITT Goulds Pumps, Seneca Falls, N.Y., and ITT A-C Pump, Cincinnati. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in business administration from Xavier University.

        • James A. Donnellon, partner at Barnes, Dennig & Co. Ltd., has been appointed chairman of the Polaris International Construction Task Force.

        • Robert Kissel has been named president at KDM Screen Printing Co., and William Holbrook, controller.

        • Mukund Rajagopalan has been named manager of software development at Cintech Solutions; Angel Arroyo has joined as a customer support technician; and William Wegelin has joined as network engineer.

        • Ross Dunham has joined Empower MediaMarketing (EM2) as vice president of business development. Mr. Dunham most recently served as chief operating officer for Tele-
       star Interactive Corp., Cincinnati, and executive vice president for Keyboard Communications Inc., Carle Place, N.Y. He earned a bachelor's degree in management/marketing from Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J.

        • Appointed officers for the two-year term, 2001-2003, for the Cincinnati Division of Associated General Contractors of Ohio: Skip Boyle, Turner Construction Co., president; Jay Meyers, Dugan & Meyers Construction Co., vice president; Steve Gross, Stephen Gross & Sons, secretary; and Dean Bitter, Zeiser Construction Co., treasurer.

        • Brad Mrvsek has joined 84 Lumber Co. as manager trainee in the Alexandria store.

        • Dana Baker and Don Elsen have been named associates at BHDP Architecture.

Awards & honors

               • Joseph Flack, senior systems analyst for Convergys Corp. is the first recipient of the Director of the Year award presented by the Cincinnati chapter of Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) Information Technology Thought Leaders.

        • Keith King, University of Cincinnati assistant professor of health promotion, will be honored with the American Association for Health Education's (AAHE) Horizon Award.

        • Dr. S. Mani Subramanian, with ASE Technologies Inc., has been awarded the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) membership status of Associate Fellow.

        • Dunhill Professional Search of Cincinnati, a provider of search and staffing services, has been named an Award-Winning Office. Chief executive officer Michael Green was formerly president and part owner of the Buschman Co. of Cincinnati. He started a franchise of Dunhill in 1996.

        • G&M Moving & Storage Inc. in Cincinnati, an Atlas Van Lines agent, has been awarded the President's Sales Growth Award for 2000.

        • Southwestern Ohio Steel Inc. has received the Gold Supplier Award from Johnson Controls Inc. This is the second year in a row that SOS has received the top honor from JCI.
