NKU's Cottrell is conference's top player

Michelle Cottrell, Northern Kentucky University junior forward, was named player of the year in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Wednesday by league coaches.
Cottrell (Boone County High School) averaged 17.3 points and 8.0 rebounds, and led the Norse to a No.6 national ranking and 25-4 record. She was GLVC co-player of the year last season.
Also, NKU's Heather Livingstone was named to the all-GLVC second team and Michele Tuchfarber was honorable mention.
