Cincinnati girls basketball games


Felicity survives in OT

        Senior Cassie Hall hit four free throws in overtime, and junior Carrie Keller added three as Felicity beat Georgetown 61-55 to win , the Division IV sectional championship at Wilmington.

        Felicity missed four free throws down the stretch to help the Lady G-Men come from behind and take a late lead, but Danielle Easter hit two free throws with 3.8 seconds left to force overtime.

        Keller scored a game-high 20 points and led four Lady Cardinals in double figures. Senior Candace Hall followed with 15, Cassie Hall scored 11 and Easter added 10.

        Kelly Miller led Georgetown with 11 points. Bethany Cahall, the Southern Buckeye Conference Player of the Year, was limited to 10 points, including five in overtime.

        The Lady Cardinals won the rubber match in the three-game series between the two teams. They meet Wyoming, the No.2 team in the Enquirer's coaches poll, in a district game at 11a.m. Saturday at Vandalia Butler High School.

        • Greenview 57, Clinton Massie 43, Division III sectional at Wilmington — Erin Harper hit two first-quarter 3-pointers to give Greenview a 12-6 lead en route to victory in the sectional championship game. Greenview was never threatened in the second half after pushing the lead to 12 at halftime.

        Harper finished with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead all scorers.

        Greenview will face Versailles in the district tournament at 12:45p.m. Saturday at Vandalia Butler.
