Sheriff investigating 2 aggravated robberies

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The Hamilton County sheriff's department is investigating two aggravated robberies that occurred within hours of each other Saturday in Colerain and Sycamore townships.

        • A woman and her two children were leaving Toys "R' Us on Montgomery Road in Sycamore Township at 6:30 p.m. when they were approached by a man who demanded money. The man told the woman he had a knife, then took her wallet, police said. The robber, described as white and in his 40s, was last seen leaving the parking lot in an older model white Mercury.

        • The Subway restaurant on West Galbraith Road in Colerain Township was robbed at 9:09 p.m. Saturday. A man entered the restaurant with his hand inside a soft lunch box and approached the counter. The robber indicated he had a weapon and demanded money. He took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and left the restaurant heading east on Galbraith Road. He was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, wearing a black cap and a scarf across his face.
