Edwards to speak at 'That's My Boy'
Cleveland Browns fullback Marc Edwards, a Norwood High and Notre Dame graduate, will be the guest speaker at the That's My Boy Award banquet.
Sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame, the event will be at 7p.m. today at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel.
The award honors excellence in the classroom, on the football field and in the community. This is the award's 34th year.
Ohio's high school finalists are Matt Armbruster, New Richmond; Jon Atwood, Norwood; Rusty Bennett, Talawanda; Marcus Blanks, Moeller; Edward Boydston, Walnut Hills; Steve Brinkman, Roger Bacon; Mike Crum, Colerain; Scott Guttman, Wyoming; Matt Knollman, Lakota West; Ian Ruth, Winton Woods, and Andrew Willis, Cincinnati Country Day.
Kevin DeMaria, Holy Cross; Brent Grover, Highlands; Troy Kenning, Dixie Heights, and Mike McDonald, Simon Kenton, are finalists for the Kentucky award.
College students to be honored are Chris Estep, Thomas More; Adam Hoover, Cincinnati; Brian Potter, Miami, and Joe Sparhawk, College of Mount St. Joseph.
