Man dies in Hamilton shooting
The Cincinnati Enquirer
HAMILTON Police are investigating a double shooting in which one man was killed and another suffered minor injuries.
Damon Collier, 25, of the 1700 block of Northwest Washington Boulevard, died Friday evening at University Hospital.
He had been shot in the mouth, a police report said.
Chico Morris, 23, of the 500 block of Hill Avenue, was treated at Fort Hamilton Hospital and released.
Both men were shot about 1 a.m. Friday at the Mahogany Lounge.
Several people spoke to 911 operators about the shooting, and one described and named a person believed to have fired shots. As of Friday evening, no arrest had been made. Police did not say whether they knew what led to the violence.
The bar, at 558 S. Front St., two blocks from the police station, was a problem in the past, but relatively trouble-free lately, police said.
