Calvary reaches tourney championship
Lisa Van Berkel passed the 1,600-point mark for her career and Sarah Woods and Carianne Curry each recorded double-doubles to lead Calvary Christian to a 66-17 victory over Christian Center Academy in the semifinals of the Lady Cougar Classic at Calvary.
Woods scored a game-high 18 points and compiled 12 assists. Curry hauled in 15 rebounds to go with her 10 points. Van Berkel scored 11 points to reach 1,610 for her career.
Calvary Christian will play Rose Hill Academy of Ashland, Ky., in the championship game at 1 p.m. today.
