Oak Hills girls replace Mason as No. 1

The Mason girls basketball team lost its No. 1 ranking in the Enquirer Division I poll this week for the first time since the 1996-97 season.

Oak Hills got eight first-place votes to Mason's seven in the coaches poll and edged the 2000 state champions by two points.

Mason fell to 14-5 last week and saw its 105-game conference winning streak snapped by Harrison. It was Mason's first loss to a Cincinnati team since the 1996-97 season and its first league loss since December 1993.

        Oak Hills is 16-2.
