Jones' free throws lift Dixie to win

        Meredith Jones sank three free throws with two seconds remaining to give Dixie Heights a 58-55 victory over Notre Dame in girls basketball Monday.

        Tied at 55, Dixie Heights played for the last shot with Jones attempting a 3-pointer. Fouled on the attempt, Jones, who had only three points at the time, hit the free throws.

        Forty-three fouls were called during the game. The Colonels were 23 of 30 from the free-throw line.

        • Bishop Brossart 66, Conner 55 — Jenna Schultz scored 14 points in the second quarter and Katie Schwegmann added six as Brossart outscored Conner 24-4 and erased a five-point deficit.

        Schwegmann led all scorers with 31 points. Conner's Laura VanHandorf had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
