Riley scores 31 to lead Winton Woods

        Junior guard DeForrest Riley scored a career-high 31 points, leading undefeated and No.2-ranked Winton Woods to a 71-56 victory over Amelia in FAVC Buckeye Division action Friday at Winton Woods.

        With Winton trailing by four points early in the second quarter, Riley scored 13 points to push the Warriors into a 34-27 halftime lead.

        P.J. Mills added 14 points for Winton Woods.

        Ryan Gladwell led Amelia with 18 points.

        AMELIA (56) — Toener 1 0 2, Smith 4 1 10, J. Smith 5 2 14, Scott 3 2 10, Denman 0 2 2, Gladwell 6 6 18. Totals: 19 13 56.

        • Mason 73, Anderson 55 — The Comets scored 17 straight points to end the third quarter, breaking open a close game.

        Freshman forward Matty Owens came off the bench to score 22 points, including 16 in the second half.

        Jordan Faulkner and Sean Combs each scored 16 for Mason.

        Volkerding also had a game-high nine rebounds.

        Northwest's Ryan Kelly had 20 points.
