Brossart, NewCath get All 'A' wins

        Bishop Brossart and Newport Central Catholic posted wins in the first round of the state All “A” Classic at Eastern Kentucky University Wednesday.

        Katie Schwegmann scored 18 points as Brossart beat Crittenden County 72-31. NCC's Amy Meyers scored 21 points in a 57-45 victory over Whitesville Trinity.

        NCC will meet Lexington Christian at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Brossart will play Jackson County, No.1 in Kentucky and No.12 in the USA Today Super 25, at 1:30 p.m.
