Cincinnati boys basketball games


No. 10 Anderson survives scare at Amelia

        Chris Norwell and Marcus Thompson combined to score 18 points in the fourth quarter as Anderson, ranked No.10 in the Enquirer's Division I boys basketball poll, rallied for a 65-53 victory at Amelia on Tuesday night.

        The Redskins fell behind late in the third quarter before rallying behind Norwell, who finished with 20 points, and Thompson, who had 17.

        Joe Smith led Amelia with 20 points.

        • Winton Woods 94, Turpin 37 — Robert Hite scored 29 points and Winton Woods, tied with Western Hills for No.2 in the Enquirer's Division I coaches poll, opened the game with a 15-0 run and cruised.

        Hite also pulled in 10 rebounds. P.J. Mills just missed a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

        Winton Woods set season highs for points and blocked shots (10).

        Justin Dennis and Corey Burke each added 15 points for Deer Park. Brian Cunningham paced Bethel-Tate with 16 points.

        • Hillcrest 93, Williamsburg 81 — John Brown's 12 points ignited a 38-point third quarter that carried the Titans to the victory.

        Clayton Collins led all scorers with 24 points for Hillcrest. Brandon Dodds had 15 points and Immanuel Cody 21.

        Joe Acevedo paced Williamsburg with 20.

        • Loveland 64, Kings 50 — Kyle Partin hit back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the fourth quarter to give an 11-point lead to Loveland, the No.8 team in the Enquirer's Division I coaches poll.

        Partin hit five 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 19 points. He hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter to help Loveland establish a 16-8 lead.

        Shane Davis led Kings with 16 points, 12 in the third quarter to help the Knights get back in the game.

        Junior center Jeff Jacobs came off the bench to score nine of his 11 points in the second half.Teammate Tommy Ault scored seven of his 11 points in the first half.

        Junior center Jon Prues scored a game-high 12 points for Norwood.

        Immaculate Conception's Rob Field hit a layup at the end of regulation to tie the game at 60.

        Cameron recorded a double-double with 14 rebounds. Field scored a game-high 26 points for Immaculate Conception.
