Big second half sends Simon Kenton to victory

The Simon Kenton boys basketball team scored 25 points in the third quarter, including three 3-pointers by Donnie Baker and two by Jared Smock, to beat Clark County 72-53 Saturday night.
Simon Kenton scored 15 points in the first two minutes of the quarter to take command after being tied 25-25 at halftime.
Senior forward Kevin Cristello and Baker each scored 17 points for the Pioneers.
Cris Frazier had 16 points for the Cardinals.

Highlands 72, Fleming County 49, at Highlands Gino Guidugli scored 17 points and Ross Neltner added 13 to lead the Bluebirds.
Craig Forbes scored 10 points for Highlands, which improved to 8-1. Fleming County fell to 3-8.
