Paint shooter appears in court

The Cincinnati Enquirer
A man who was charged with inducing panic for firing a paintball gun at Washington Park School in Over-the-Rhine appeared in Hamilton County Municipal Court on Friday.
Curtis Fox, 18, of the 1400 block of Pleasant St. in Over-the-Rhine, was arrested Thursday after school administrators called police, believing someone was firing a gun at the school.

Women heard what they thought were several gunshots, said Chris Wolff, a spokeswoman for Cincinnati Public Schools.
Officials found three yellow paint splotches from a paintball gun on the window in the front office.
It didn't break the window, she said. (And) it didn't interfere with classes or anything.
Mr. Fox, who is not a student, told the Enquirer late Friday that he did not intend to hit the school window.
One came out as a dud, he said. It was an accident. They made it sound so serious, like they were under fire.
The case was continued after the teen requested a public defender. Mr. Fox remains out on bond.
If convicted, he could spend six months in jail.
