N.Ky. girls basketball games




        Junior guard Bridget McIntyre scored a career-high 22 points and senior forward Jessica Schmidt led all scorers with 26 points to pace the Walton-Verona over Bracken County 70-30.

        McIntyre scored seven points and Schmidt had eight in the first quarter. Schmidt went on to record a double-double with 19 rebounds, and she had four blocked shots.

        Bearcats sophomore point guard Ashlee Afterkirk set a school record with 17 assists. Sophomore center Amber Sims had 10 rebounds.
