Cyclones 4, Chicago 1
CHICAGO Marc Magliarditi, making his first start in 10 games, stopped 36 shots as the Cincinnati Cyclones defeated defending IHL Turner Cup champion Chicago Wolves 4-1 Saturday night at Allstate Arena.
Rookie Erik Cole and captain Gilbert Dionne each scored a pair of goals to lead the Cyclones against the Wolves. This was Cincinnati's third straight victory over Chicago.
Dionne notched his 12th goal of the season to put the Cyclones up, 1-0, just 3:51 into the game. Steve Larouche tied the contest with a power play goal, at the 1:08 mark of the second period, for the Wolves.
Dionne scored a second time, his 13th of the season, at 1:26 of the third. Cole finished the contest with a pair of goals, the first at the 2:31 mark and the second coming with 6:05 left in regulation.
Cincinnati (21-13-3) plays at the Manitoba Moose today. Faceoff is 5 p.m.
