UC women top UD for 7th straight home win

Freshman Valerie King had 21 points and junior Portia Flournoy added a career-high 19 as the University of Cincinnati won its sixth straight game, 79-69 over Dayton Wednesday at Shoemaker Center.
The win extended the Bearcats' home winning streak to seven, fourth-longest in school history.
UC (8-1) shot 50 percent from the field and had a 20-point lead with 3:42 left in the second half. Dayton (5-5) cut the lead to nine with less than a minute remaining but could get no closer.

Junior forward Michelle Cottrell had 22 points and 13 rebounds as the Norse won their 32nd consecutive game.
Heather Livingstone added 20 points for NKU (8-0), ranked No.1 nationally in NCAA Division II.
