Store gunman escapes after holdup

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP — A man armed with a semiautomatic handgun held up an Ameristop on Struble Road late Tuesday night, escaping with an unknown amount of cash.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department said the man entered the Ameristop at 11:40 p.m., showed the gun and demanded money.

The robber fled on foot south across Struble Road into a residential neighborhood, where a sheriff's dog was unable to find him.
