Aviation program is for families

A family event promoting aerospace education and aviation history will be held Dec. 16 at the U.S. Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
Family Day begins at 10 a.m. at the museum, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. A guided family tour at 10 a.m. will give an overview of aviation history. Story time will follow for children at 11:30 a.m.
A program for older kids, Flying First with the Wright Brothers, begins at 11:30 a.m. This program celebrates the 97th anniversary of the first powered flight, with activities including a hands-on demonstration of how the Wright brothers invented the first practical airplane.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Admission and parking are free.
