1. Loveland
Fort Ancient Valley Conference - Cardinal Division
Outlook: Loveland was a near-unanimous choice to defend its league title with Wilmington, Lebanon and Ross expected to be in a three-way battle for second.
Loveland team returns only one double-figure scorer from last season's league-championship team, but he's a good one. Kevin Schappell averaged 21 points, 3.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds a game as a sophomore. Senior guard Erek Manville and senior forward Kyle Partin should improve after playing supporting roles last season.
If the Tigers have a drawback, it's a lack of varsity experience among its front-court players.
