SPRINGDALE — Police are asking the public's help in locating two suspects who allegedly showed a gun to a home repairman and fled with some of his tools.

Around 12:50 p.m. Monday, police were called to a home at Benadir Drive and Crescentville Road.

A 40-year-old Liberty Township man, whose name police asked be withheld for his safety, was doing repairs at the home.

The man reported seeing two men carrying away his tools. He said he yelled at them and chased them, then one of the suspects displayed a handgun, said Springdale Police Sgt. Randy Pierce.

Police were unable to locate the suspects, despite using a tracking dog from the West Chester Township Police Department and a helicopter from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects were de scribed as two black males in their teens or early 20s, both about 5-foot-8 and 150 to 160 pounds. Both were wearing jeans and hooded sweat shirts. One sweat shirt was gray; the other, maroon.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Pierce at 346-5760.
