Hershey 5, Mighty Ducks 2
HERSHEY, Pa. K.C. Timmons scored two goals and added an assist and Philippe Sauve stopped 37 shots to lead the Hershey Bears to a 5-2 AHL victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.
Yevgeny Lazarev had a goal and two assists for the Bears, who improved to 11-6-0-1 with their third straight win. Joel Prpic contributed three assists.
Sauve, a top prospect for the Colorado Avalanche and the son of former NHL goaltender Bob Sauve, turned aside 31 shots over the final two periods to improve his record to 4-3-0.
Jason Williams (second period) and Bob Wren (third period) notched goals for Cincinnati, which fell to 2-2-0-0 through the first four games of a current 12-day, seven-game road trip. Marc Chouinard assisted on both goals giving him seven points in the last six games.
NOTE: Left wing Yuri Butsayev was recalled by the Detroit Red Wings. Butsayev, 22, has appeared in 15 games this season with Cincinnati, scoring a team-high seven goals and three assists for 10 points.
