Mason 9th in nation; Munoz among Super 25

The Mason girls basketball team was rated ninth in the country in the USA Today Super 25 rankings, and the Comets' star, Michelle Munoz, made the list as one of the top 25 players in the nation.

Munoz, a 6-foot senior who has committed to the University of Tennessee, averaged 20.3 points and 11.8 rebounds last season when Mason (27-0) won the Division I state title.
Mason's first game this season is Nov.30 at Turpin.
USA Today rated Indianapolis Ben Davis as the top team in the country, followed by Highlands Ranch (Colo.) and Mansfield (Texas).
Mason was listed the No.4 team in the Midwest Region, of which Ben Davis was the top squad. No other Ohio team made the Super 25 rankings.
