Ky. official's wedding investigated

The Associated Press

FRANKFORT — The state auditor Wednesday said he is looking into whether state employees and equipment were used in planning or staging Lt. Gov. Steve Henry's wedding to former Miss America Heather French Henry.

“We're trying to decide wheth er we need to do a full-fledged audit,” Ed Hatchett said in an interview. He said he hoped to reach a decision in three weeks.

The Henrys were wed Oct. 27.

The auditor's office has heard from “multiple sources” that state telephones and computers as well as state employees were used for some facet of the wedding, Mr. Hatchett said.
