Brett Hamblen scored a touchdown receiving, on a punt return and on a kickoff return to lead the defending Kentucky 3A champion Bluebirds.
Hamblen tied a state single-season receiving touchdown record with his 25th of the year, and Gino Guidugli broke a Highlands season record for touchdown passes with his 46th.
Guidugli finished with 279 yards on 15-of-24 passing and four touchdowns. Highlands outgained Franklin County 455-172.
Highlands plays Covington Catholic next Friday at Highlands.
