Wreck snarls traffic on I-71

The Cincinnati Enquirer

A wreck on Interstate 71 near Dana Avenue brought traffic to a standstill Sunday.

At 3:44 p.m., a vehicle carrying Renee Delaney, 32, of North College Hill, Eric Russell, 32, of Springfield Township and Larry Williams, 32, of Madisonville hit the center median then rolled over, landing sideways in the center lane, Cincinnati police traffic unit Sgt. Bill Coombs said.

All three were ejected from the car. No one was wearing a seat belt, police said. Injuries were not serious, a University Hospital spokesman said. Ms. Delaney was admitted in good condition with mouth injuries; the others were released.

All northbound lanes were closed, but vehicles were allowed to pass on the shoulder. All lanes reopened at 6:10 p.m.
