INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center, which handles high-altitude air traffic for much of the Midwest, experienced a power failure Tuesday that temporarily affected radar and radio communications.

        The Federal Aviation Administration said the power loss happened at 4:04 p.m. EST. Elizabeth Isham Cory, an FAA spokeswoman, said nothing was ever completely out.

        Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport was affected.

        “We have been working with some cancellations, diversions and delays, but we are getting back to normal, Delta spokesman John Kennedy said.
