It's hard to say which looks more unstoppable Colerain's football team or its star fullback, senior Jon Mohr.
The Cardinals turned a showdown for the Greater Miami Conference title into a shakedown of Princeton's backfield, running Mohr up the gut. Mohr finished with 24 carries for a career-high 232 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-7 home victory Friday night.
The win gives Colerain (9-0, 7-0 GMC) its first outright GMC title, in its fourth year in the league. Princeton and Colerain shared the title two years ago.
Colerain, ranked No.1 in the Enquirer's Division I coaches poll, will go for its fourth city championship in seven years against LaSalle next Friday.
This is a great chance for us, said Mohr. Our focus has been on taking one game at a time, and now our focus is on LaSalle.

Mohr was the offensive story of the game in a hard-hitting battle between the top two defenses in the GMC. He broke a 74-yard TD run for the only score of the first half, then added two more TD runs in the third quarter.
Colerain took advantage of a couple of big mistakes to take control of the game.
It was only 7-0 at half and our kids felt very confident in the locker room, said Princeton coach Scott Miltenberger, who's team was ranked No.9 in the city this week. Princeton could have shared the GMC title with Colerain with a victory Friday. But the thing we had warned the kids about all week was (Colerain) takes advantage of every mistake you make.
After Princeton's defense forced a Colerain punt just five plays into the half, Princeton's VaShaun Harrison ran into a wall of Colerain tacklers on the return and fumbled, giving Colerain the ball at the Princeton 15. Four plays later, Mohr scored on a five-yard TD run that increased the lead to 14-0.
On the ensuing kickoff, a long return and penalty put Princeton at the Colerain 50. But on first down, a lateral pass to Princeton's Dalyn Brown hit the ground, and Colerain's Mike Bumpus recovered.
Princeton dodged a bullet when Mohr fumbled at the Princeton 1-yard line, but Colerain's defense kept the Vikings pinned inside their own 2-yard line. A punt set up Colerain at the Princeton 26, and quarterback Sean Jones ran into the end zone, putting Colerain ahead 21-0 with 5:02 left in the third.
Mohr scored Colerain's third TD of the quarter on a four-yard run.
Princeton was held to 136 yards of offense. It's lone score came with 2:30 left in the game.
Defensively, this is as fine a club as I've coached, said Colerain coach Kerry Coombs.
Colerain gained 394 yards on offense.
The game was delayed approximately 25 minutes with 4:41 left in the third quarter when Princeton quarterback Robbie Caress was sacked and suffered a concussion. The Colerain Township life squad came onto the field and took him to Mercy South Hospital to be evaluated.
Colerain suffered a scare of its own when Jones was sacked so hard his helmet popped off, with 11:20 left in the game. He lay on the field for about five minutes before walking off. Coombs said Jones is expected to be OK.
