St. Xavier 42, McNicholas 14




        St. Xavier used big plays as it scored 28 first-quarter points en route to the easy victory.

        Quarterback Marty Mooney threw touchdown passes of 80 and 99 yards to Brad Greiwe and Josh Williams, respectively.

        St. X, running back Enye Willingham added a 60 yard scoring sprint.

        Mooney's 99 yard scoring pass set a school record.

        The St. Xavier defense added four interceptions to shorten the field on the other scores.

        McNicholas quarterback Bryan Cupito set a new career passing record with his 293rd completion. He finished with 20 completions on 47 attempts and 181 yards.

        St. Xavier improved to 6-3 in its quest for a playoff berth. McNicholas is also 6-3 after the loss.
