Highlands puts long home streak on line

Highlands looks to extend its home-field winning streak to 20 games tonight against Covington Catholic.
Senior quarterback Gino Guidugli (1,257 passing yards and 16 touchdowns) leads the 4-1 Bluebirds against the Colonels in the Class AAA district opener for both schools.
CovCath (1-4) has lost three in a row to Highlands, dating to 1998.
At Ryle High School, Simon Kenton takes senior tailback Daniel Morrison and his 848 yards against Ryle's defense. The Pioneers seek their sixth win of the season.
At Boone County, junior Greg Bowling gets his second start at running back as the Rebels (3-2) battle Campbell County.
Campbell County's (2-3) Kip Mason scored four touchdowns in the Camels' game last week.
Holmes and Conner also open AAA district play tonight as Holmes seeks its fifth win of the season.
Conner (2-3) faces a Bulldogs team that scored 28 points in the second quarter last week.
