Highlands still No.1 in Ky. poll

Colerain edges Moeller for No. 1 ranking in Ohio

By Dave Schutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Highlands' first loss of the season didn't cose the team the No.1 spot in the Kentucky Associated Press high school football poll.

The Bluebirds lost 21-14 to Cincinnati Elder Saturday night to fall to 3-1. Still, a statewide media panel gave the Bluebirds 10 first-place votes and 118 points, enough to keep them ahead of Bowling Green (5-0, 92 points) in Class AAA. Dixie Heights was 10th.

Among other Northern Kentucky schools, Beechwood (4-0) remains No.1 in Class A, with Bellevue (5-0) fourth; and Boone County (3-1) is seventh in AAAA.
