No. 1 St. Ursula loses in soccer upset
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Less than four hours after St. Ursula was voted No.1 in the girls state soccer poll, the Bulldogs fell from the unbeaten ranks, losing 2-0 to Ursuline.
It was the first time in 12 years Ursuline beat them.
Sophomore Jeanna Goettelman scored from 18 yards out with 18 minutes remaining in the first half and senior striker Katie Howard added the clincher six minutes into the second half.
TENNIS: A narrow 3-2 victory over Bishop Watterson on Saturday proved to be a wake-up call for the undefeated Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy tennis team.
CHCA, ranked No.1 in the Enquirer's weekly poll, responded by beating No.3 Sycamore 5-0 Monday at Sycamore.
This is the first time we've played Sycamore in three years, CHCA coach Lynn McNally said. I think this is the first time we've beaten them.
Two-time defending Division II state singles champion Audra Falk remained undefeated with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Cassie Uhl.
