Promotions & new on the job
        „Marcia Wright has joined OstermanCron, office furniture dealership, as vice president of sales. Ms. Wright was sales manager at Loth MBI and most recently, vice president of sales at Contract Interiors.

        „The following have joined Northlich marketing communications firm: Jennifer Dowdall, group director for Brandstorm; Megan Hirsh, account manager, and Chris Rothgeb, digital technology architect.

        „James Tuohy has been named assistant vice president at Ohio Casualty Group.

        „Michael J. Reynolds has been appointed director of finance at The Nielsen Co. Mr. Reynolds has served as controller and more recently as operations strategist at The Nielsen Co. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he joined the company in 1995.

        „The following have joined Ogden Entertainment's new management team with the new Paul Brown Stadium: Mike England, quality control manager; Terry Smith, concession manager; Jennifer McGuire, suite manager and event coordinator; Heather McClure, office manager; Jeremy Thompson, warehouse purchasing manager; Phillip Eisenburg, executive chef; Leslie Dean, assistant concession manager; Nikko Iacobucci, beverage manager; Mitzi Burks, payroll, human resources manager; Tom Ryan, scheduling coordinator; and Terri Hudson, payables and receivables office assistant.

        „David Anderson, Cincinnati district director of civic and promotional affairs with Delta Air Lines, has been named senior director of customer satisfaction at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati.

        „Michele A. Smith has joined Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP as an attorney. Ms. Smith received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 1998 and a bachelor's degree from Columbia University in 1993.

        „Dave Nichols has joined Sullivan Advertising Inc. as creative director.

        „Jan Barnhorst has joined Neyer Properties Inc. as marketing coordinator.

        „M. Barr Klaus has been appointed general manager of Ferromatik Milacron North America's new PET (polyethylene terephthalate) systems business for preform injection molding technology. Mr. Klaus has been with Milacron for more than 30 years. He served most recently as technical director of the Elektron Technologies, which specializes in the design, manufacture and sales of all-electric injection molding systems. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry and industrial management from Purdue University and his master's degree in business administration from Xavier University.

        „William Hronek has been named senior vice president, commercial loans at Firstar Bank in Cincinnati.

        „Francine Lopomo has been named associate director for program operations with the Hamilton County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board.

        „Rose Carroll has joined SS&G Hospitality Services, an accounting and consulting firm specializing in the hospitality industry, as senior consultant and hospitality specialist.

        „Mike Adams has joined Optimum Group, marketing and communications firm, as project manager, interactive division. Mr. Adams will work with account managers to coordinate various interactive projects. He was creative technical director, and interactive producer at Post Production Services of Cincinnati.

        „Mel J. Simmons has joined Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP law firm, as an associate in the business and finance client service department. Ms. Simmons has four years of associate experience in commercial and corporate law, in litigation, and in bankruptcy law. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996, and her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va.

        „Scott R. Leavitt has been appointed general manager of Champion Printing Inc., printer of bind-in envelopes and self-mailers.

        „David L. Owens has been named director of educational programs for the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Owens joined the Chamber in 1996 as manager in the Chamber's small business department — the Chamber Institute of Small Enterprise. He earned a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Denison University in 1990 and a master's degree in general administration from the University of Maryland in 1995.

        „The following have joined Bridge Integrated Communications, advertising agency: Steve Howard, Web programmer; Keith Neltner, art director; Curt Tweddell, associate creative director; and Mike Seta, senior copywriter.

        „Clare Price has been named vice president of marketing for Giage Inc., a Cincinnati-based software start-up dedicated to solving the problem of information overload in computing.

        „Christopher Brown has been named general manager of Hilton Garden Inn Cincinnati Northeast. Mr. Brown has 10 years of hotel management with Marriott Corp., Winegardner & Hammons Inc. and Sage Hospitality. He received a bachelor of science degree in hotel, restaurant and travel administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

        „Gregory N. Taylor, principal of Blue Chip Venture Co. has been appointed to the board of directors of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center Inc.

        „Ray Kruse has been named general parts manager with Hyster MidEast, material handling business, and Rick Schimpf has joined the company as controller.

        „Nicole L. Oakes has joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors as associate specializing in residential sales, Anderson office.

        „Jerry Patton has been named operations manager at Enable Medical Corp.

        „Allison Brown-Smith has been named assistant vice president, northern community middle market at KeyBank in Cincinnati. Ms. Brown-Smith is responsible for developing and maintaining overall client relationships. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State Univer sity where she earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. She earned a master's degree from the University of Toledo.

        „Judith A. Sturnick has been appointed president of The Union Institute. She succeeds Dr. Robert T. Conley, who died in March 1999 after 17 years as the Institute's president. She most recently served as vice president, Office of Women in Higher Education, at the American Council on Education in Washington, D.C. She received a degree in doctor of philosophy in English from Ohio State University in 1967 and master of arts degree in English from Miami University in 1963. In addition, she is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Dakota in English and History.

        „The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) and the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) have been awarded the 2000 Planning Coordination Award from the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.

        „Adventurehaven, a training and development consulting group, has moved to an office in the Heritage International Plaza, 3031 Dixie Highway, Suite 100A, Edgewood.
