Elder-Moeller will try again today

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The Division I regional championship baseball game between Moeller and Elder, scheduled for Saturday at Wright State University, was postponed until 2 p.m. today.

“We were at school (Wright State) about 10 a.m. and the radar showed storms moving into the Dayton area,” tournament director Paul Newman said. “Rather than take a chance, we de cided to call it off.”

As it turned out, it didn't rain in Dayton, and hundreds of Elder and Moeller fans arrived the field only to learn of the postponement.

The Division I regional softball championship game between Clayton Northmont and Northwest at the University of Dayton, was rescheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.
