Carjackings begin with holdup at ATM

By

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a man at an automated-teller machine in Green Township Thursday, stole his car and, minutes later, stole a second car as he eluded officers.

Marcus S. Haley, 28, of the 5300 block of Lee's Crossing, was confronted at an ATM at Fifth Third Bank, 3356 North Bend Road. A man forced his way into Mr. Haley's car and robbed him at gunpoint, then took Mr. Haley's car.

A few minutes later, the robber hit a Ford van on North Bend Road. The driver of the van, Victoria Wilson, of the 4800 block of Sapphire Lane, was not injured.

The robber then fled through yards on North Bend before jumping into a car driven by Richard Blevins, 21, of the 5400 block of Leumas Drive.

The carjacker ordered Mr. Blevins to drive him near Sunset Gardens Apartments on Rapid Run Road. The man jumped from the vehicle and ran.

The Hamilton County sheriff's office is looking for a black man, 20 to 25, about 6 feet 3 inches and 220 pounds. He was wearing dark shorts and an Adidas shirt.
