Local recruits make all-state

A Hillsboro senior and recruits for Xavier and Miami were named first-team all-state in the Associated Press All-Ohio Division II and III boys basketball teams announced Tuesday.
Bruce Miles, a 6-foot-2 senior who averaged 16.7 points a game for Hillsboro, was the only Greater Cincinnati player on the Division II first team.
Dayton Christian senior Romain Guessagba-Sato, who has signed with Xavier, was named the Division II player of the year. Sato averaged 26.4 points, 15.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists a game.
And Julius Juby Johnson, a 6-6 senior from Warrensville Heights who signed with Miami, also made the first team. Johnson averaged 25.6 points a game.
No local players made the Division III first team. Keith Jackson, a 6-5 junior who has helped Purcell Marian to the state semifinals, made the second team.
