Walker leads Campbell County

        Heather Walker led all scorers with 15 points in Campbell County's 69-48 win over Pendleton County in the 38th District at Campbell County.

        Lori Franzen added 13.

        Campbell County advances to play Bracken County at 6p.m. Thursday.

        Emily Farrell scored 17 and Mia Bradford added 10 for Notre Dame.

        Notre Dame will face the winner of Holy Cross/Holmes at 8:30p.m. Friday.

        • Dixie Heights 43, Villa Madonna 40, 34th District at Beechwood — Freshman forward Sarah Wright scored 14 points to lead the Colonels, and senior guard Heather Beale added 13.

        Dixie Heights (5-21) meets either Scott or Beechwood in the finals at 7p.m. Saturday, while the Colonels are in next week's Ninth Region tournament at Holmes. It's Dixie's fourth regional berth in five years, and Dixie seeks its first district title since 1996.

        Villa Madonna (13-13) closed to 41-40 with 1:04 left in the game on sophomore forward Alex Randall's field goal. Dixie senior guard Shannon Sommers threw the ball out of bounds, but Beale later hit a free throw to make it 42-40.

        Dixie senior forward Lisa Zwerin clinched the win with a free throw with 13 seconds left.
