Colerain's clutch shots beat Anderson in OT

        Mike Ferris made five of six free throws and David Finney scored five points in overtime Saturday to send Colerain to a 74-68 win over Anderson at the Division I Sectional at Mason.

        Anderson got a shot off at the end of regulation, but Peter Cory's attempt was off the mark. Cory finished with 23 points.

        Ferris scored a game-high 33 points for Colerain and Michael Wright added 13 points.

        Colerain next plays St. Xavier at 7 p.m. on February 29th at UC's Shoemaker Center.

        • Harrison 60, Sycamore 51, at Division I Sectional at Mason — Matt Perkins hit a 3-pointer with just under two minutes to play to give Harrison its first lead of the game.

        Perkins scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter, with Matt Volkering and Paul Volkering combining to score 17 points in the quarter.

        Paul Volkering sparked a late run in the final minute, sinking two free throws and a 3-pointer to seal the win.

        Shane Holbein and Brian Walker each scored 15 points for Sycamore.

        Harrison will play Milford at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at UC's Shoemaker Center.

        • Purcell Marian 75, Bethel-Tate 55, Division II sectional at Anderson — Keith Jackson scored all 16 of his points in the first half to lead No.1-seeded Purcell Marian.

        The Cavaliers opened the game with a 9-0 run. Jaime Cooper finished with a game-high 22 points for Purcell. C.J. Miller led Bethel-Tate with 20 points.

        • Norwood 64, Western Brown 54, Division II sectional at Anderson — Norwood converted 22 of 27 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off a late Western Brown comeback attempt.

        Mike Marksbury and Anthony Fike combined to make 16 of 19 free throws in the fourth quarter for Norwood, which held Western Brown scoreless in the third quarter until the final minute.

        Justin Phillips led Western Brown with 15 points.

        Norwood advances to play Purcell Marian.
