Horse trailer in I-75 pileup

FRANKLIN — A Williamsburg woman suffered a minor cut to her head in a three-vehicle accident that included a trailer with three horses on Interstate 75 Thursday afternoon.
Jill Jones, 47, was treated at the scene.
There were no other injuries, either to people in the vehicles or to the horses.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said an antique 1929 Harmon car traveling south on I-75 at Ohio 73 became disabled and the driver tried to get off the interstate. Two pickups, including the one pulling the horse trailer, swerved to avoid the car and collided.
The pickup and horse trailer ended up in a ditch at the Ohio 73 entrance ramp to south I-75.
The horses did not escape from the trailer after the accident and were removed to another vehicle, said Trooper Tim Patton. They were shaken but unhurt.
The crash, which occurred just before 3 p.m., remains under investigation.
