Stuff sign UC's Levett for season
BY PETER HOLTERMANN

The Cincinnati Stuff are developing a reputation for a solid corps of guards, and they added it on Friday by signing former University of Cincinnati star Melvin Levett.
Levett is under contract for the remainder of this season. Terms of the deal were not announced.
At UC, Levett was known for his leaping ability and outside shooting. The 6-foot-3 guard left the Bearcats No.25 on the team's career scoring list with 1,119 career points, and was fourth in 3-pointers with 164.
What a place to come back to, Levett said. After having a good career at UC and developing relationships with fans, this is something I can be proud of.
The Stuff are 10-1 this season, thanks in large part to the play of the team's guards. Starters Moo Moo Blakney and Wayne Turner are averaging a combined 33.5 points and 9.4 assists per game.
We're adding a tremendous athlete to our lineup with the addition of Melvin, Stuff coach Joby Wright said. There is no need for him to be Superman.
Levett will compete for time with Lenny Brown and Chris Kingsbury.
I just want to find my role on this team, Levett said.
The Stuff must make a roster move before tonight's game with Trenton.
