UC drops to No. 4; Stanford No. 1

Make that the No.4-ranked University of Cincinnati.
Top-ranked UC's 66-64 loss to Xavier in Saturday's Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout cost the Bearcats three spots in the USA Today/ESPN top 25 coaches poll released Sunday night.
The Bearcats, 8-1, trail No.1 Stanford (8-0), No.2 Arizona (9-1) and No.3 Connecticut (7-1). The Cardinal received all 25 first-place votes.
Stanford, which has been playing without injured All-America candidate Mark Madsen, has victories over Arizona, No.6 Auburn and No.10 Duke.
UC plays at No.21 Oklahoma (9-0) Wednesday night (9 p.m., ESPN).
Indiana (7-1) is No.18 and Ohio State (5-2) is No.20. Kentucky, out of the poll a second straight week, is a distant 26th, Dayton is 28th, and Xavier got five votes for 37th.
