Indian Hill wins from the line

        Indian Hill made 16 of 24 free throws in the fourth quarter en route to a 67-51 victory over Reading in a boys basketball game Wednesday night.

        “We came out and played a nice third quarter,” Indian Hill coach Dale Haarman said. “It was our best half of the season.”

        Ben Katz scored 10 points in the final eight minutes. Grady Rogers scored eight of his 11 points in the first half.

        The victory enabled Indian Hill to retain a share of first place in the Cincinnati Hills League with Wyoming and Madeira.

        • Finneytown 75, Taylor 65 — Senior guard Jason Gardner scored 11 of his game-high 27 points in the second period when the Wildcats opened a nine-point lead.

        Paul Thompson added 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Finneytown.

        • Wyoming 97, Mariemont 64 — The one-two punch of David Payne and Adam Monday scored a knockout for the Cowboys.

        Payne scored 22 of his 24 points in the first half to keep the Cowboys close. Monday took over in the second half with 16 points to break it open.
