Elder's Christopfel commits to Michigan
Andy Christopfel, Elder's 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman, has verbally committed to attend Michigan.
A Division I second team All-State selection, Christopfel was named co-lineman of the year in the Greater Catholic League South Division with Moeller's Michael Munoz. He also had visited Nebraska and Boston College.
He felt comfortable with the coaches at Michigan and that was one of the reasons he committed, Elder coach Doug Ramsey said.
Ramsey said every Big Ten school except Purdue offered Christophel a scholarship.
Christophel is Elder's second player to commit. Earlier, linebacker Pat Brunner decided to play at Vanderbilt.
