Mighty Ducks 3, Saint John 1
Jesse Wallin, Darryl Laplante and Vitaly Vishnevski scored goals to support Gregg Naumenko's goaltending as the Mighty Ducks beat the Saint John Flames 3-1 Saturday night in the AHL at the Gardens.
The Ducks extended their unbeaten streak to five games with the win (2-0-3-0) and improved their record to .500 on the season at 3-3-4-1.
Tonight we started doing some things a little better than we have in our previous games, like shooting and driving the net, creating second chances and winning the one-on-one battles in the corners, Ducks coach Moe Mantha said. The reward for that is we go home with a win.
