Miami, Michigan clash on ice

The last time the University of Michigan hockey team came to Cincinnati, it won the 1996 NCAA championship.
Tonight at the Firstar Center, the Wolverines put their No. 6 national ranking on the line in a CCHA game against the 15th-ranked Miami RedHawks. Face-off is 7:35 p.m.
We can't get caught up in the fact that we're playing Michigan, Miami coach Enrico Blasi said. They're a hockey team just like we are.
Michigan (8-1-0, 5-1-0 CCHA) won its first four games of the season, lost at Alaska-Fairbanks on Oct. 22, and has won four straight since. The team is loaded with offense; it has scored at least five goals in all but two of its wins.
Sophomore forward Mike Comrie is the only player in the country with 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) and is second nationally with a 2.22-points per game average. Michigan's power play has scored at least once each game and averages 2.3 goals per outing.
We don't want to take any foolish penalties no matter who we play, said Blasi, whose 5-2-2 record is the best for a first-year coach at Miami. Discipline is the name of the game.
