Lakota East shuts out Turpin soccer title
Seven Hills, SCD also win
Lakota East won its first district boys soccer title since Lakota split into two schools three years ago with a 1-0 win over Turpin at Fairfield High School in the Division I district finals Saturday.
Craig Salvati posted his fifth consecutive shutout and ninth on the season for the Thunderhawks. Andy Carstens scored the game's lone goal four min utes into the game on a pass from Matt Chiodi.
Lakota East plays LaSalle, a 2-0 winner over McNicholas, 7p.m. Tuesday at Winton Woods in the first round of the Division I regionals.
DIVISION II: Seven Hills won its second consecutive district title with a 1-0 win over Cincinnati Country Day.
Randall Rubenstein scored the game's only goal with 16:08 to play on a corner kick from Alex Popp.
Seven Hills plays Springfield Catholic 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lakota West in the first round of the Division II regionals.
Summit Country Day won its sixth district championship in eight years with a 7-1 win over Wyoming.
Summit was led by Jamal Shteiwi and Ben Roy who each scored two goals. Summit jumped out to a 4-0 lead seven minutes into the game.
Summit plays Bellbrook 7p.m. Tuesday at Centerville.
