Weekend detours for I-71, I-275 intersections

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Motorists planning to drive in the area where Interstates 71 and 275 intersect in the northeast part of Greater Cincinnati can expect some detours this weekend.

Starting at 7 p.m. Fridayand continuing until 5 a.m. Monday:

        • The ramp from westbound I-275 to southbound I-71 will be closed. To get to southbound I-71, drivers will need to continue west on I-275 to the Reed Hartman Highway exit, go south on Reed Hartman Highway to the entrance ramp to eastbound I-275. Go east on I-275 to southbound I-71.

        • The ramp from southbound I-71 to eastbound I-275 will be closed. To get to eastbound I-275, drivers should continue south on I-71 to Pfeiffer Road, go east on Pfeiffer to the I-71 northbound entrance ramp, go north on I-71 to the eastbound I-275 interchange.

Construction crews will tie-in existing ramps to the new pavement on I-71, which is about a foot lower than the pavement on the ramps.

Also this weekend, southbound I-71 will be down to one lane at the Cornell Road overpass so it can be painted.
