CHCA's Falk wins 3rd district tennis title
Audra Falk, a Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy junior and the defending Division II state champion, claimed a third consecutive District singles championship Saturday with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Badin's Beth Wiegand.
Besides Falk and Wiegand in singles, the district championship doubles team of Meredith Vincent and Michelle Rothzeid qualified to the state tournament.
In Division I district tournament action at Thomas Cloud Park in Dayton, the Sycamore doubles team of Cassie Uhl and Susan Hyams claimed the championship with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Elizabeth Brunsman and Molly Meissner from Oak Hills.
Also earning a berth in the Division I state tournament were Mason's Susan Kelley (singles) and doubles teams of Kristen Veith/Maggie Jacobs (Middletown) and Brianne Petricone/Andye Kelley (Ursuline).
