LEBANON Information on community resources in Warren County is available at the click of a mouse, thanks to the Warren County United Way.
The organization has established a Web site that acquaints county residents with a broad array of agencies and services, as well as with the United Way.

United Way's goal
|
Terry Schulte, chairwoman of Warren County United Way's 1999 campaign, announced that this year's goal is $1.803 million. In 1998 the organization's goal was $1.802 million; $1,802,561 was raised.
Because a couple of large corporations in the county are downsizing, we didn't want to raise our goal too much, said Ms. Schulte, but there are several agencies that need increases in their allotments.
Last year they asked for increases and didn't get them, she said. With Warren County's tremendous growth come additional needs we must address.
A total of 28 agencies receive funding from the Warren County United Way.
Ms. Schulte said she is optimistic that the many new businesses moving to the county will participate actively in the campaign.

The Web site address is www.warrencountyunitedway.org.
A click on Campaign 1999 reveals information about the organization's 1998 campaign and introduces the leadership for the 1999 effort.
Another click, on Information and Referral Services, lists more than 20 categories. It's an easy way to learn about programs and services in such areas as senior or youth programs, legal advice, family counseling and respite care.
Child care is such a major concern in Warren County that there is a separate section for it, with information provided by Comprehensive Community Child Care. The child-care site lists caregivers by location and tells what ages are accepted, as well as the extent and hours of care provided. Listings are updated at least monthly.
Those interested in donating time to help others can access Volunteer Opportunities. A potential volunteer indicates preferred service types and will be contacted with opportunities.
This site is Warren County at your fingertips, said Sherri Foley, Warren County United Way campaign and communications director. It's great for someone new to the area.
Even for longtime residents, the Web site is a way to connect in a rapidly growing area. It's also a boon for those who might need some type of help but are unwilling to ask friends or co-workers to recommend agencies or services.
People might not want others to know they have a problem, said Mary Jo Nead, who chairs the organization's volunteer communications committee.
