N.KY. HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS


Jolly leads Camels over Highlands

        Justin Jolly shot a 2-over-par 38 Tuesday on the front nine at A.J. Jolly Golf Course, and Campbell County defeated Highlands 156-164.

        Daniel Moore and Justin Seiter each added 39s as the Camels handed the Bluebirds their first loss of the season.

Boys soccer
        • Bishop Brossart 3, Newport Central Catholic 1 — Kevin Geiman, Jon Lloyd and Erik Daniels each scored first-half goals to spark the Mustangs over New Cath in the first round of the Dog Pound Classic.

        • Grant County 6, Villa Madonna 0 — T.J. Riley scored his first two varsity goals for Grant County.

        Austin Ryan added two goals, while Mark Colerain and Matt Hubbard combined for the shutout.

Girls golf
        Highlands improved to 7-1-1 with a 207-227 victory over Bishop Brossart.

        The Bluebirds were led by Mary Ann Plunkett, who shot a 4-over 39 on the front nine at Flagg Springs.
